YOGA EXPLAINED TO KIDS

Thousands of years ago, the ancient yogis lived in the forest, the mountains, and the caves of India. They observed their land, and saw how the world around them moved in harmony. They mimicked the movements of the life living around them and that was when the ancient yogis created the practice of yoga. Yoga strengthens our bodies and helps us gain confidence.

When we tense our muscles just before relaxing, while practicing yoga it teaches the body the difference between tension and relaxation, and it helps us to relax more deeply. While practicing mindfulness we’re relaxing our bodies and letting our minds take a break.

Despite the mixed emotions about the practice, yoga is beneficial to kids and people of any age in many ways. Because humans encounter many emotional and physical challenges, a daily 3-15 minutes dedicated to a yoga practice that includes breathing exercises and yoga poses can be very valuable for for any OM Warrior, of any age! Yoga is something anyone can practice anywhere at anytime,  that the breathing, mindfulness meditation, the fun and engaging poses.
