Most people have heard the terms ‘to be mindful’ or ‘lets meditate’, but what do they actually mean and what are the benefits I’m gaining from it? Read this article to have all your questions answered.
WHAT IS MINDFULNESS
To be mindful is to simply be aware of your surroundings, which means to notice what is happening around you in the present moment.
Mindfulness is taking notice of how your body feels and what you see, hear, smell and feel all around you. While being mindful you even notice to feel emotions in your body, perhaps through a tightness somewhere, or a good sensation in a certain area.
Mindfulness is also noticing what your mind is doing, what you’re thinking, how you’re feeling and what you should be doing now, which is living in the present moment.
THE BENEFITS OF MINDFULNESS
When practicing mindfulness, all you need for mindfulness is somewhere peaceful where you can be totally relaxed. There is no special equipment is required – the only thing you need is yourself!
Life has unexpected twists and turns for all of us. Problems crop up every day as adults and our children are no different. Whether it’s someone at school being mean, or a preparing for a test, we all have challenges to face and surprisingly, mindfulness can present some amazing benefits and help anyone cope with what they may be struggling with:
- Gain Inner Peace
- Increase Self-Awareness

Meditation may not be an overnight exercise. If you and your young ones practice yoga and mindfulness every day for just five minutes, it can bring positive changes to yours and their life and learning ability.
